Company Story
Rowan Metal Works LLC was founded in China Grove, NC with a straightforward mission: to provide high-quality custom metal fabrication and coating services with the responsiveness and accountability that larger shops often can't deliver.
Located in Rowan County at 850 Rock Lane, we serve the construction, industrial, and architectural markets across the greater Charlotte metro and North Carolina. Our team brings combined decades of hands-on fabrication experience across structural steel, architectural metalwork, and industrial coatings.
We built this business on the belief that a small, expert team — working with the right equipment and a genuine commitment to quality — can outperform larger operations on the projects that matter. Every piece we make goes out with our name on it, and that matters to us.

Safety Commitment
Safety is fundamental to how we operate. We maintain a clean, organized shop environment, enforce PPE requirements for all personnel, and follow OSHA safety standards for fabrication and coating operations.
Our coating operations comply with applicable EPA and OSHA regulations for surface preparation and coating application. We maintain Safety Data Sheets for all materials and conduct regular safety reviews.
Quality Assurance
Quality at Rowan Metal Works starts with reviewing project drawings carefully before the first cut is made. We perform in-process dimensional checks, visual weld inspections, and coating film thickness measurements on every project.
Material certifications, weld records, and coating inspection documentation are available for projects requiring formal quality documentation. We do not ship work we are not proud of.

CNC Plasma Cutting
High-definition plasma cutting of steel plate and structural shapes. Accurate cutting of complex profiles from DXF files.
Press Brake Forming
Precision bending of sheet and plate steel to tight angle tolerances. Multiple die configurations available.
MIG / TIG / Stick Welding
AWS-certified welding in all processes. Structural, pipe, sheet metal, stainless, and aluminum welding.
Abrasive Blast Cleaning
Shop blast facility for surface preparation to SSPC SP 6 and SP 10 standards before coating.
Powder Coat Facility
Temperature-controlled powder coat application and curing oven. RAL and custom color capability.
Overhead Crane Capacity
In-shop overhead crane for material handling and assembly of large structural components.
